FAQ

A few things that You should know about organisation of the surgery

Before You decide if plastic surgery is something for You: Research the procedure, the benefits and the risks. Remember, no surgeon or procedure is 100% risk free. Talk to patients who have had your procedure so you know what to expect.

If You decide to undergo plastic surgery:

Choose the right Clinic. After the operation You will need a medical assistance. Choosing the Clinic remember that it is good when the Clinic offers You a room in the postoperative block, so You do not need to go to the hotel just after the operation. Choose Your plastic surgeon. Check his or her qualifications. In Poland all plastic surgeons who have a specialisation in plastic surgery are the Members of Polish Association for Plastic, Esthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (Polskie Towarzystwo Chirurgii Plastycznej, Estetycznej i Rekonstrukcyjnej). Be informed and provide the Doctor with a full medical information of Yourself. Ask your plastic surgeon about the benefits and risks of your surgery; discuss your expectations and understand side effects and recovery time. Consult with your plastic surgeon and discuss your full medical history to determine the most appropriate treatment

Make your own decisions:

The real expert on your appearance and any concerns you may have is YOU. You just need an assistance to decide what, if any, surgery you might need. The surgeon will inform You what might be technically possible and any associated risks and benefits.

General instructions regarding the convalescence period:

According to the American Society Of Plastic Surgeons www.plasticsurgery.org To properly heal and to reduce the possibility of complications, patients should not:

  • sunbathe
  • drink alcohol
  • swim / snorkel
  • water ski / jet ski
  • parasai
  • take extensive tours (walking or bus)
  • excercise.

The time a patient resumes regular exercises varies based on the operation performed. All patients are encouraged to start a slow walking routine on the second postoperative day.
