It is a very popular procedure in Western countries and is also performed in our Clinic, through Power-Assisted-Lipoplasty method, with the use of the most modern medical device from USA (Micro-Aire). It is one of the very few procedures, where the effects are visible almost right after it. The patients can enjoy the outstanding effects of the procedure, which are visible in the first days after the operation (despite the swelling) at the discharge from Clinic.
This procedure is often confused by the patients with slimming, but this is wrong. It consists in body shaping. The adipose tissue of a certain body part is changed into the microgranules and then removed outside the body. The effects are permanent, because the removed tissue shouldn't reconstruct, and body weight loss or gain shouldn't influence the received body proportions. Two very important features of this technique are precision and low invasiveness. The scars resulting from insertion of probe are practically invisible.
The decision concerning this procedure is often very hard, despite the troubles, sometimes ailments from the skeleton and psychical discomfort, caused by ineffective attempts of fat burning through sport and diet.

Qualification for procedureFor persons coming from distant parts of the country or from abroad, pre-procedure consultation, which qualifies for the procedure, can be performed on the day of planned operation.
During the consultation the patient should ask about all of the issues connected to the planned operation, about anything which bothered her or caused anxiety. The doctor, who is going to perform the procedure will explain the entire conduct of operation, determine the range of operation and in standing position will mark the places of tissue removal. If you have any ailments, or take any medications, inform you surgeon about it. During the consultation the patient will be informed about the possible dangers.
Preparation for operationThe patients from very distant parts of the country and Europe should plan their arrival on the day before the operation, so they can take a rest. After qualification, all of the necessary blood tests will be carried out in our Clinic, and all of the necessary pharmacology agents will be given in order to prepare to the procedure. Only the patients who are 50 years old or more should get their EKG done before the arrival. You are not allowed to eat or drink anything on the day of operation. Your stomach should be perfectly empty. The patient should reduce cigarette smoking at least 4 weeks before the planned operation. In case of any kind of change of the date of operation, for example due to sickness, please inform the Clinic, so we can arrange another date for you.
Anesthesia and staying in the ClinicDepending on the site of liposuction, a half of the body will be insensibilized (from waist to feet) or a general anesthesia will be performed. All of the necessary examinations are carried out on the day of operation in the Clinic. Thanks to the use of the most modern operational techniques, the stay in the Clinic shouldn't exceed 1-2 days.
ProcedureThe adipose tissue accumulates in the following body parts: calfs and inner part of the knee, inner and outer part of the tights, outer parts of the buttocks, abdomen, arms, chin and cheeks. In order to prevent the electrolyte balance disturbance, we can suck up to 4 liters of adipose tissue during ones session. Depending on the amount of body parts and amount of adipose tissue the operation lasts 1-3 hours.
Post-operative proceduresOur patients receive special, well fitting clothes pressuring the operated body part, to be constantly worn for 4 weeks. During the few following weeks, special clothing should be worn for 12 hours. For the first two weeks you are recommended to massage your body. Each of our patients will receive more individual information at the discharge from clinic.
Despite of theoretical possibility of occurrence of complications, none of the above has ever happened in our Clinic.
